WHAT IS A ROAD TRAIN?
Road Trains consist of a prime mover pulling two or more trailer rigs connected by a converter dolly. Road Trains have a maximum length of 53.5 metres, can consist of up to four standard trailers and can carry approximately 155 tonnes.
Australian Road Trains are typically used for transporting freight, fuel, grain, and mining materials across vast distances.
